Six steps from listing to delivery
Every trade follows the same protected path — nothing changes hands until the other side is confirmed.
1
Verify your identity
Upload a government ID and a selfie. Our AI screens them and our team reviews the result, so every trader on Batait is a real person.
2
List what you want to trade
Add real photos and a short video of your item, plus its condition and year. AI-generated, stock and catalogue photos are rejected automatically.
3
Get a fair credit value
Each listing is appraised in Bata Credits from comparable sales, so a €200 item can trade against a €150 one without either side losing out.
4
Choose how you trade
Propose a direct swap, join a chain swap across several traders, or buy an item outright with Bata Credits. A refundable escrow deposit protects both sides.
5
Ship with a tracked courier
Pay your leg of the shipping in-app and print your label. The courier checks the item against the listing at pickup, then tracking keeps both parties informed.
6
Confirm delivery and close
When the parcel arrives you confirm receipt. Escrow is released, credits are settled, and both traders can leave a review and grow their Bata Score.
Why traders trust it
Barter works when both sides are protected. These three layers do that on every exchange.
Money held in escrow
Deposits and credits stay with the platform until delivery is confirmed, so nobody ships first into a void.
Disputes with real evidence
If an item does not match its listing, open a dispute. A moderator reviews the evidence and can refund or release escrow.
A reputation you earn
Your Batait Trust & Liquidity Index is built from completed trades, reviews and verification depth — visible on every listing.
